How to Put Yourself in Any Meme Video (Photos, Credits, Refunds)

Updated 2026-10-27

Short answer: pick a meme template, upload one clear front-facing photo per person, confirm everyone agreed, and pay with credits. An AI model builds a lookalike of you from the photo and puts it into the meme's moves and framing. If generation fails, your credits come back automatically.

This guide covers every template on PutMeInMeme. Each template page adds the details for that meme.

1. Pick the right meme for your photo

Before you upload, check two things on the template page:

If a template is not open for orders yet, its page asks for your email instead, and we send one message when it is ready.

2. Choose the photo

The photo matters more than anything else. The AI does not copy your photo into the video; it builds a lookalike from it. The more clearly it can see one face, the more the result looks like you.

Good photo checklist

Why these rules

Photo problemWhat the AI doesResult
Two faces in the frameHas to guess which person you meanWrong person, or a mix of both
Side profileInvents the half of the face it cannot seeWeaker likeness
Tiny or blurry imageFills in missing detailSoft, generic face
SunglassesGuesses the eyesEyes that do not look like yours
Face-only cropHas no idea of your build or outfitBody that may not match

Match the photo to the meme. A dance template shows your whole body moving, so a full-body photo helps. A close-up meme mostly shows your face, so a sharp face matters most. If the meme has a big expression (laughing, shocked), a photo with an open, relaxed face gives the AI more to work with than a stiff one.

Duo templates: use one photo per person, each taken on its own. Do not upload the same group photo twice.

3. Consent: who you can put in a meme

You confirm this with a checkbox before you pay. Uploads and results are checked, and anything that breaks the rules is blocked; credits for blocked items are returned.

4. How credits work

You pay with credits, bought in one-time packs. No subscription.

PackPrice
100 credits$9.90
300 credits$19.90 (most popular)
600 credits$34.90 (best value)

Each template shows how many credits it uses. Most use 60 credits; longer templates with the song, like Tiny Desk AI, use 100.

What a pack gets you

Pack60-credit videos100-credit videos
100 credits1 (40 left over)1
300 credits53
600 credits106

Leftover credits stay in your account and you can mix templates: for example, 300 credits = two 60-credit videos plus one 100-credit video, with 80 left.

Things to know

5. What happens after you pay

  1. Your photo and the meme clip go to the AI model.
  2. Most videos are ready in a few minutes. You can close the page; we email you a link when it is done.
  3. Download the video from the order page or from My videos. Videos stay available for 7 days, then they are deleted. Your uploaded photos are deleted 2 days after upload.

6. If something goes wrong
